This North American Elk is pasture raised on 60,000 acres in central Canada where they graze naturally on plants, leaves, bark and grass. Antibiotics, steroids and hormones are never used. Elk is the second largest mammal in the deer family. Elk has less cholesterol and more protein than pork, beef and even chicken! Being a good source for zinc, phosphorus and iron, Elk is a great red meat alternative.
